4. Healing Session
“I came to the Boardway Family with a problem that had plagued me for my entire adult life. Without telling you how old I am, let’s just say it’s a long time! I had always been prone to frequent and terrifying nightmares that did not seem connected to anything in my waking life. Lately, the dreams had increased in intensity, and upon awakening I would be drained and traumatized, sometime in tears. I had tried therapy, calming routines before bedtime, prayer and various healing modalities, but to no avail. So I was pretty desperate when I contacted the Boardways. They responded to my request with great kindness, concern, and honesty, and recommended something called “soul retrieval” which, to be honest, I don’t really understand. My best description would be that it is kind of like helping someone whose personality has fractured due to trauma, sometimes over many lifetimes, and reuniting the dissociated parts of the person. But I was willing to try it. So I did the session remotely which just consisted of me relaxing at home for about an hour, and the three members of the Boardway family doing the work of the soul retrieval from their home. They also composed a beautiful prayer/affirmation for me to say before going to sleep, and suggested a number of other practices that could clear the home environment and make it more conducive to peaceful sleep. Well, I am delighted to report the results. Since the session, and using the prayer every night, I have not had a single terrifying nightmare! Sometimes I will have an unpleasant dream, but I can always see its connection to something current going on in my life and these dreams are very mild and manageable compared to what was going on before.
